Popis:	Rhodium(II) acetate catalyzed intermolecular cyclopropanation of glycals with cyclic carbenoids generated from 3-diazo-2-oxindole has been achieved to produce a novel series of spirooxindolyl sugar derivatives in good yields under mild experimental conditions.
