Popis: The subject of the research is the economic culture of business entities. The purpose of this article is to consider the possibilities of economic culture as a factor in carrying out new modernization. The methodology of the work is based on studies of socio–economic dynamics. The information base of the research consists of regulations, domestic and foreign publications, research on the content of international economic relations, the direction and nature of megatrends in world development, the role of transition periods, the ratio of strategy and tactics in making organizational and managerial decisions. Results of the work – an analysis of the productive use of the possibilities of economic culture for the success of a new wave of modernization was carried out. Conclusions. The reflexive nature of the era makes it imperative to involve and activate the human factor of change. The rise of economic culture is an indispensable condition for the competent use of the existing potential in general and for a new wave of modernization in particular. Awareness of theessence of the ongoing changes is a requirement not only for ensuring competitiveness, but also for the meaningfulness of actions. Activating the economic thinking of the population is an important factor in changing economic behaviour. The creation of an adequate social environment and a regulatory complex is the need for an organic transition to new economic conditions. Ensuring economic literacy requires the complex use of the resources of public pedagogy, societal management, social work; this is not a task at the level of individual educational institutions, but of the whole society.
