Popis: Fundamental heat and mass transfer principles were used to simulate the temperature, water mole fraction, and unreacted cement fraction profiles in a concrete pavement system during the first 72 hours of curing. The model used experimental data on the composition of the pavement and the environmental conditions to simulate the state of the concrete. Simulation results were compared to experimental data from a pavement placement in Albany County, New York. The model was able to simulate the temperature profile in the concrete throughout the cure period to an accuracy of better than +/- 2 deg C.
