Popis: In a repository for radioactive waste, corrosion of metallic materials leads to the formation of hydrogen and other gases. If the gas production rate exceeds the gas diffusion rate within the pores of the surrounding material, a discrete gas phase forms. Gas pressure will then continue to accumulate until its pressure becomes sufficient to exceed the entry pressure of the surrounding material.
