Popis: | OBJECTIVE: In 2006, the combination drug Suboxone ® (buprenorphine and naloxone) registered in Germany as a drug for substitution of opiate addicts. Subsequently, many of buprenorphine patients were switched to Suboxone ® , as recommended by the manufacturer in the dose ratio of 1:1. Using this study was to determine retrospectively, what symptoms occurred with the transition. METHODS: All patients who received in February 2009 in Braunschweig Suboxone ® , were offered an interview with questions about withdrawal symptoms, disorders, other-drug-use and abusive use of Suboxone ® after the switch. RESULTS: 64 patients in 4 clinics received Suboxone ® in February 2009. In 43 patients, the interview was conducted, of which 33 had been converted .70% of these 33 patients had withdrawal symptoms after switch, 33% longer lasting. 30-72% suffered agitation, anxiety, depression and potency or libido problems after the switch. Increased other-drug-use of heroin, alcohol, cocaine or benzodiazepines indicated 42%. CONCLUSIONS: In the 1:1 switch of buprenorphine to Suboxone ® did significantly to withdrawal symptoms, mental health complaints and increased other-drug-use. There is a need for the dosage ratio for a change to review and possibly to redefine. |
