Popis: The pharmacokinetics of a new cobalt-containing complex medicinal preparation (Co-101) in rats was studied by a radionuclide method. The labeled drug was prepared using a radioactive solution of 57CoCl2. The radioactive cobalt-57 isotope was obtained by means of cyclotron irradiation of a nickel target enriched with the nickel-58 isotope and introduced into the drug preparation at the stage of its synthesis. It is established that Co-101 is slowly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and distributed predominantly in the liver and blood. The labeled drug is excreted from the organism mainly with feces and party with urine, so that in 24 h only ∼ 7% of the initial dose is retained in the organism.
