The new complexes [( η 5 -CpCMe 2 C 9 H 7 )Rh(C 2 H 4 ) 2 ] 1 , [( η 5 -CpCMe 2 C 9 H 7 )Rh(CO) 2 ] 2 , [( η 5 -CpCMe 2 C 9 H 7 )Rh(nbd)] 4 , [( η 5 -CpCMe 2 C 9 H 7 )Rh(cod)] 5 , [( η 5 -CpCMe 2 C 9 H 7 )TiCl 2 Cp] 6 , [( η 5 -CpCMe 2 C 9 H 7 )Mn(CO) 3 ] 7 , were obtained from the reaction of the monoanion [CpCMe 2 C 9 H 7 ] − with the appropriate metal–halide unit. [( η 5 -CpCMe 2 C 9 H 7 )Co(CO) 2 ] 8 and [( η 5 -CpCMe 2 C 9 H 7 )Fe(CO) 2 ] 2 11 could be synthesized by reacting CpHCMe 2 C 9 H 7 with Co 2 (CO) 8 and Fe 2 (CO) 9 , respectively. With the dilithiumsalt of the ligand the dinuclear complexes [( η 5 : η 5 -CpCMe 2 C 9 H 6 )Rh 2 (C 2 H 4 ) 4 ] 12 and [( η 5 : η 5 -CpCMe 2 C 9 H 6 )Rh 2 (CO) 4 ] 13 , [( η 5 : η 5 -CpCMe 2 C 9 H 6 )Rh 2 (nbd) 2 ] 14 and [( η 5 : η 5 -CpCMe 2 C 9 H 6 )Rh 2 (cod) 2 ] 15 could be formed. Also some compounds [( η 5 -CpCMe 2 ) 2 (C 9 H 6 )Rh 2 (L n ) 2 ] 16–18 (L=C 2 H 4 , CO, nbd) with the related ligand [1,3-(CpCMe 2 ) 2 (C 9 H 6 )] 2− were isolated. Some unsuccessful attempts to synthesize heterobimetallic complexes with the ligand CpCMe 2 C 9 H 6 were described. All new compounds were characterized by MS and NMR. Single crystals of 1 , 5 , 8 and 12 were obtained and characterized by X-ray analysis. |
