Popis:	Within the framework of a multicenter clinical study of the recombinant human factor VIII preparation BAY w 6240, we studied the pharmacokinetics of this factor in blood by using the preparation during tooth extraction in a patient with hemophilia A. The results allowed us to conclude that this preparation exerts a hemostatic effect comparable to that of human-derived concentrated factor VIII preparation and that it can be safely used in patients with hemophilia A who undergo tooth extraction.
