Popis: | A collection of nevomelanocytes in the epidermis, dermis or both areas is known as melanocytic nevus. Common acquired melanocytic nevi form the most common type of melanocytic nevi, which develop after birth, slowly enlarge, stabilize and persist or regress later in life. Aside from common acquired melanocytic nevi, there are several forms of less well-known melanocytic nevi, such as halo, Meyerson’s, ancient, speckled lentiginous, Spitz, dysplastic and cockade nevi. Congenital nevi, blue nevi and dermal melanocytoses are rather uncommon variants of melanocytic nevi. In this article, these less well-known types of melanocytic nevi are reviewed. |
