13C NMR spectroscopic study of cellulose acetates and their model compounds in the solid phase

Popis: The 13C NMR method in the solid phase using cross-polarization and rotation of the sample at the magic angle has been employed to investigate cellulose acetates over a wide range of degrees of substitution and their model compounds. The signals in the spectra of the compounds studied have been assigned. The possibility of evaluating the structural changes in the course of acetylation of the polysaccharides and the total degree of substitution is demonstrated.
