Popis: Diaphragmatic Eventration (DE) is a congenital or acquired abnormal elevation of diaphragm, may be complete or partial. Partial eventration is called as Dromedary hump. DE is caused by paralysis, aplasia or atrophy of the muscular fibres of the diaphragm. Anaesthetic management of patients with DE in adults is not adequately described in literature, as it is rare and usually asymptomatic. In some cases, it may cause severe dyspnoea, orthopnea and hypoxia.
