Study of structural, morphological, electrochemical and thermal properties of thiourea doped TiO2

Popis: In the present study we have synthesized different concentrations (0.25:4, 0.75:4) of Carbon, Nitrogen, Sulphur co-doped TiO2 (C, N, S-TiO2) by facile sol gel process as well as ball milling technique and investigated their structural, topological, electrochemical and thermal properties. X-ray diffraction patterns reveal the formation of double phase structure corresponding to anatase and brookite phases of TiO2. AFM investigations reveal a smooth surface morphology for both concentrations. Mott-Schottky plot was applied to acquire a shift of the flat band potential as the free charge carrier concentration increases with an increase in the amount of C, N, S doping. The electrochemical behavior of the C, N, S doped TiO2 electrode was characterized by cyclic voltammetry. DTA-TGA measurements carried out to measure heat flow and weight loss show that both the samples are thermally stable in the studied temperature range.
