Popis: A gas chromatography-mass spectrometry method for the analysis of phencyclidine (PCP) in urine was subjected to an inter-laboratory study. The collaborative study followed the guidelines provided by the Association of Official Analytical Chemists International. Ten laboratories participated, analyzing 3 samples of PCP-spiked urine as blind duplicate. The repeatability relative standard deviation (RSD(subscript r)) and the reproducibility relative standard deviation (RSD(subscript R)) were between 2.1%-3.6% and 4.2%-7.3%, respectively. HORRAT values for the reproducibility showed 0.4-0.7, indicating acceptable precision between laboratories. The method was thus proposed to be used by the drug-abuse urine testing laboratories in Taiwan.
