Popis: We developed a new method for improving the biocompatibility of 3D-printing photosensitive resins using waterborne polyurethane (WPU) as the coating material. A composite scaffold was fabricated from 3D-printing photosensitive resin and WPU by coating a WPU emulsion onto the surface of the resin. The surface morphology and roughness, hydrophilic properties, surface chemical composition, mechanical properties and cytocompatibility of the composite scaffold were investigated. The results showed that the composite scaffold had a smooth hydrophilic surface, excellent mechanical properties, low cytotoxicity, and enabled rapid attachment and proliferation of human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs). This novel composite scaffold might has potential applications in cardiovascular-related fields.
