Popis:	1. A study has been made of the electronic and vibrational spectra of (nitroalkyl)nitrosamines. It has been shown that an increase in the substituent electronegativity leads to a bathochromic shift in the long-wave maximum. The nitrosamine absorption band has been identified by the isotopic substitution method. 2. The frequencies of the nitroso group stretching vibrations in the IR spectrum, and the short-wave absorption band in the UV spectra, have been correlated with N-N bond energies. 3. Frequencies and normal vibration forms for the nitrosamine group have been calculated.
