Popis: | Multi-dimensional solutions of the linearised seismic inverse scattering problem are presented within a unified framework. The inverse solutions are linearised by using perturbation techniques and relate the seismic wave field (forward solutions) to changes in the acoustic velocity. The inverse solutions are found optimally using a generalised inverse (regularised least squares) formalism. Within this framework a known variable background model and data from most experimental geometries of interest in applied seismology are easily incorporated. Numerical examples demonstrate that the generalised inverse is accurate and stable in reconstructing model parameters from spatially band-limited data. |
