I am very happy to receive the Frumkin Memorial Medal, and I am deeply grateful to all who promoted this event: to the Frumkin Institute of Electrochemistry and its Director Prof. B.M. Grafov who nominated me for the Medal, to all the colleagues who supported my candidature, and, of course, to the Award Selection Committee and the Executive Committee of ISE. It is a great honor to obtain the medal commemorating the great scientist who determined the face of the 20th century electrochemistry. As for me, I am especially glad because I had the privilege to be in a close personal contact with this outstanding man during the last twelve years of his life, and our discussions and talks on various scientific and nonscientific topics are unforgettable for me. |
