Popis: Cloud computing is an innovative technology that uses internet and servers to store and manage data. It comes with various security threats towards clients' outsourced data. Ensuring truthfulness of data accumulated on the cloud is an issue of concern to many cloud users as there is no guarantee that the data retrieved is exactly the same as the original data that is stored on the cloud without any loss of integrity. Normally, a hash value created by the third party auditor (TPA) is matched with the hash value generated by the cloud storage server to ensure data integrity. In this approach, the TPA is considered to be trustworthy. In this paper, a new Proof of Retrievability (PoR) scheme is proposed which ensures that the data integrity is maintained even if the TPA turns out to be a hacker. This approach involves a new entity called Cloud Service Monitor (CSM) which controls all the processes in the cloud thus reducing the load of cloud storage server and auditor. Here, the client is relieved from the task of tag generation of files as this is transferred to the Cloud Service Monitor. This model helps to reduce the trust and dependency on the auditor. A strengthened security model is been developed by using strong cryptographic algorithm in the upload phase and by avoiding multiple download in one access. Extensive security shows that proposed system is efficient and secure.
