With increased focus on the application of green solvents in different areas for environmental and sustainability issues, the production of green solvents from different sources is presently a field of extensive investigation due to their potential. Among them, the green solvent application for bioremediation can be categorized as one of the most promising application fields due to high demand and environmental issues. A comprehensive list of green solvent research has been collected and covered in this chapter. Following a brief overview of the properties and uses of different green solvents that are suitable for bioremediation, the chapter offers an overview of the adaptability of the bioremediation microorganisms that thrive on each selected green solvent. |
