Popis: | A new rare species, Scleria afroreflexa. is descriped from an upland area (1500 m) of South west Cameroon. It is most similar to S. sheilae Rayn., another rare species only known from one collection from a rocky habitat at 800 m near Yaounde in southeastern Cameroon. S. afroreflexa differs, however, in its more dense inflorescence with reflexed branches, its more hairy leaves, smaller achenes and in its montane habitat. Notes on habitat, ecology, distribution and conservation are given for the two species. |
