Popis: Hemp of industrial hemp by “Surskaya” brand (mass fraction of components: cellulose 71.2%, lignin 5.35%, extractives 9.32%, ash 1.75%) was delignified with an aqueous solution of acetic acid, hydrogen peroxide and a catalyst - sulfuric acid at a temperature of 85°C. The influence of the concentration of sulfuric acid (1-3%) and the duration of the process (3-5 hours) on the yield and properties of technical cellulose has been studied. At yields of 42 - 50%, the degree of polymerization of cellulose approaches the limit value of 110 ... 120. According to this indicator and other properties (water-holding capacity more than 30%, iodine number more than 10 mg/g), the product meets the specifications for microcrystalline cellulose.
