Popis: | In this paper forward scatter is combined with bistatic backscatter to track people. Here, forward scattering is the partial blocking of the direct signal from transmitter to receiver in a bistatic radar geometry and not the forward region of bistatic backscattering. Although very similar, the forward scatter utilizes the direct signal interferometrically whereas the backscatter only uses the signal of the target. The development of a tracker which combines the forward scatter, present only in a small part of space and time, with backscatter is addressed in this paper. The application foreseen is tracking of moving people inside a building. Results show the added value of forward scattering for tracking with a low resolution bistatic radar. |
