A study has been made of the effect of mono- and polychromatic radiation in the UV and visible regions, on the properties of films of different thickness (10, 20 and 30 μm) obtained from solutions of polycarbonates based on 2,2-di-(4-hydroxyphenyl) propane, 5,5-di-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-4,7-methanohexahydroindane and 5,5,-di-(4-hydroxy-3-methylphenyl)-4,7-methanohexahydroindane. It is shown that activation spectra of the photochemical reactions of these polymers can be obtained in the form of the dependence of the magnitude of the EPR signal on the wavelength of the incident monochromatic light. It was found that after irradiation with polychromatic light 5,5-di-(4-hydroxy-3-methylphenyl)-4,7-methanohexahydroindane showed the greatest impairment in optical and physicomechanical properties, 5,5-di-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-4,7-methanohexahydroindane came next and 2,2-di-(4-hydroxyphenyl) propane was least affected. |
