Popis: | Mechanical behaviour of unsaturated polyester resin reinforced with foundry slag is used for the composite materials has been studied to determine various important parameters, such as tensile and flexural properties by using moulding process. 75 µm level particle sizes of fine powdered foundry slag are used for sample preparation. Concentration of powdered slag is varied from 5%, 7.5%, 15% by weight in the polyester resin. The composite test specimens are prepared using moulding process as per ASTM D638 for tensile test and ASTM D 790 for Flexural test. |
