In this study, we propose a laser system for highly precise laser-surgery angioplasty. The system includes a tunable laser based on optical parametric oscillation as a source of radiation and a silver halide optical fibre as a delivering channel. The operating wavelength of the system is $5.75\ \boldsymbol{\mu} \mathbf{m}$ . It selectively absorbs by atherosclerotic plaques resulting in their destruction. The application of this system may sufficiently advance low invasive methods of angioplasty operative treatment. |
