NMR Response of Highly Polarized and Magnetically Ordered Nuclei in Lithium Metal down to Nanokelvin Temperatures

Popis: | The nuclear spin system in lithium metal orders magnetically at about 0.3 μK in zero magnetic field, and another ordered phase with different characteristics seems to exist at fields above 0.2 mT. We provide here further evidence for the non‐paramagnetic character of the nuclear spin system in the upper field region by an analysis of the double‐spin resonance of lithium nuclei. The intensity ratio of the main Larmor peak to the double‐spin peak deviates from the expected trace as the polarization increases in a manner incompatible with a disordered system. |
