Popis: | 1. 1. A cockroach mechanoreceptor mechanically stimulated is irrigated with standard or modified saline. 2. 2. Under K + concentration variations (5–20 mM) two types of responses were obtained. In group 1 the firing activity is slightly raised; in group II it drops to zero. In this later group, a barrier is thought to be disrupted during the dissection. 3. 3. Confirmatory experiments with urea solution (3M) are realized. 4. 4. In a K + free medium the two groups show only slightly reduced activity. 5. 5. The firing activity is abolished by ouabain (2.10 −4 M) and enhanced with alcohols. 6. 6. The results are discussed with the available morphological data. |
