Popis: | Background: MostGraph is one of the forced oscillation technique devices mainly used in Japan. However, the reference values in healthy Japanese adults have not been not established. Objective: The aim of this study was to establish predictive equations and reference ranges of MostGraph measures for healthy Japanese adults. Methods: Healthy subjects were recruited from the visitors for a medical checkup at the health examination center of Yokohama City Minato Red Cross Hospital and from healthy volunteers at Tokyo Medical and Dental University. They underwent forced oscillation technique using MostGraph-01, exhaled nitric oxide fraction (FeNO) measurement, and pulmonary function tests (PFTs). Subjects with elevated FeNO or abnormal PFTs were excluded. Finally, 79 subjects (41 men, ages 18-72 years; 38 women, ages 21-73 years) were analyzed. The parameters were transformed into normal distribution using a Box-Cox transformation. We created predictive equations for R5, R20, X5, Fres, and ALX of the MostGraph parameters using age, height, and weight as explanatory variables. Results: The logarithm of male R5 and R20 revealed nomal distributions. The square root of ALX revealed nomal distributions in both male and female. The predictive equations ± standard deviation × 2 are shown in the table below. Conclusion: We established predictive equations and reference ranges of MostGraph measures for healthy Japanese adults. |
