Popis: | Results are presented for experimental and theoretical investigations of the mechanical properties of nonhomogeneous soils, and the mechanism of SSS formation is examined for different combinations of soil components. A procedure is proposed for prediction of mechanical properties of in-situ and artificial beds with respect to grain-size distribution. Soils are classified based on the degree of their nonhomogeneity, and also on the relationship between the compression modulus and the grain-size distribution and density of the soils. |
