Popis: This paper presents a case study conducted in an oilfield that explores the multi-agent system (MAS) paradigm and the opportunities for new development with 5G. The MAS model proposed focuses on production management and related activities, such as production monitoring, cost analyses, maintenance scheduling, inventory control and supply chain management. The model has four main components as part of its methodology: information visualization, monitoring, supply chain management and decision-making processes. In the model, intelligent agents assist daily activities, negotiate for resources and cooperate for better decisions among different departments and expertise. 5G technology is expected to be a powerful wireless network that connects the agents, embedded in IoT (Internet of Things) applications, accesses cloud solutions and communicates safety with different enterprises.
