Microstrip Antenna Design with Left Handed Metamaterial (LHM) for Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast (ADS-B)

Popis: In this project, antennas designed using lefthanded metamaterial use antenna software for automatic Dependent Surveillance receiver equipment commonly used in pilot communications and air traffic control. The return loss obtained using antenna software is -16.09 dB, and using measuring using a vector network analyzer is -16.47dB at frequency 1.095 GHz. The VSWR, when using the software, was 1.382 while the measurement of the VSWR down up to 1.26. Bandwidth when using the software is 92.7 MHz, while when measuring, bandwidth extends to 330.494 MHz with substrate dimensions 127×120 mm 2 both simulation and measurement. The difference between simulation and measurement is 237.794 MHz or an increase of 256.51% bandwidth width at the time of manufacturing and measurement when compared with simulations. The radiation pattern of the antenna, both software and measurement are omnidirectional.
