Thermodynamic properties of 1,2-difluoro-1,2,2-trichloroethane and 1,2-difluoro-2,2-dichloroethane at temperatures from 0 to 330 K

Popis: The temperature dependences of the molar heat capacity C o p ,m of 1,2-difluoro-1,2,2-trichloro ethane (freon-122) and of 1,2-difluoro-2,2-dichloroethane (freon-132) have been studied at temperatures from 13 K to 330 K in a vacuum adiabatic calorimetric cryostat within 0.002· C p ,m . The glass-transition temperatures and the enthalpy and temperature of melting, of the freons have been determined. From the C o p ,m values obtained the thermodynamic functions Δ T O , Δ T O S o m and Φ o m for both the compounds have been calculated in the temperature range 0 to 330 K. The configurational entropy of freon-122 and the difference in zero enthalpies and the zero entropy of freon-132 have been estimated.
