Popis:	Coagulations of ferric oxide and ferric hydroxide by polyelectrolytes were carried out. The ability of coagulants for the reduction of turbidity, sedimentation velocity, and compressibility of ferric oxide suspension was as follows. Polyacrylamide>sodium polyacrylate>sodium alginate>sodium carboxy methyl cellulose. For the suspension of ferric hydroxide, polyacrylamide and sodium alginate were effective agents for the clarification of water.
