Popis: | The most conspicuous and strict demand to the sound emitted by the gearbox of modern machine tools is called the “pleasantness to the ear”, which is seriously affected by the low frequency knock of the meshing gear pairs under light load. This paper presents a statistical method to suppress it by means of intentional selection of grinding gears in assembly. The mean values and tolerances of gear components: profile errors on both tooth sides, lead errors of both tooth sides, teeth span error are taken under production control. The method of Karhunen-Loeve expansion is applied to analyse the degree of influence of these errors. It is confirmed that all the above five error components should be properly suppressed in order to maintain the low frequency knock at a sufficiently low level. |
