Popis: We have been examining the dynamics behind increasing open mobilization among the far-right. In particular, we applied the concept of psychological collective empowerment and its relevance for support expectations among actors. We now turn to the question of what may contribute to discouraging support for radical-right parties (as a factor contributing to support expectations). We suggest a serial process that affects support intention encompassing efficacy, competence, and legitimacy perceptions. Based on pilot data, we expect this process to affect individuals who already strongly identify with the group, as well as those "on the fence" (conceptualized as moderately strong identifying with the group), yet not those individuals that weakly identify with the group. This study serves as part one out of two and presents a content-neutral fictitious group to participants. Pre-registered are hypotheses about the contrast between an undisturbed and a disturbed rally of mentioned fictitious group. The study uses an experimental design and regression-based conditional process analyses.
