| Popis: |
The γ-ray spectra following the α-decay of several doubly even actinides were studied. The deduced level energies of the ground state rotational bands were compared with the collective model and the VMI model. The VMI model gave an excellent fit to the experimental levels; no phase transitions were observed in the actinide region, in contrast to the situation in the rare-earth region. |
