Popis: Jonathan apples enclosed in black cloth bags 50 days after full bloom and harvested 84 days later were slightly smaller than normal apples. Concentrations of potassium and nitrogen were slightly higher than in the controls. The treatment reduced the concentration of calcium by 12% but no breakdown developed in the fruit in store although individual control apples that broke down were found to have very low concentrations of calcium.
