Popis:	This paper describes the design of a loop for testing flowing suspensions and prototype equipment for use with suspensions. Alternative and preferred choice of components are discussed, together with methods of designing equipment to accommodate a wide range of flow conditions and experimental tests. A new design of automatic gate lock is described in detail.
