Polymorphism for aconitase and glucosephosphate isomerase isozymes in hexaploid wheat

Popis:	Agaroae isoelectric focusing of dimeric glucosephosphate isomerase (GPI) in hexaploid wheat revealed eight different isozyme band phenotypes in a collection of 31 wheat genotypes. In addition, two varianh in locus Aco-A1 and three variants in locus Aco-B1 encoding monomeric aconitase were detected after starch gel electrophoresis. 24 wheat cultivars tested for both these isozyme systems could be divided into 14 groups according to their combined ACO and GPI isozyme phenotypes.
