In this paper we present recent progress made in the heterojunction solar cells industrial pilot line called ‘LabFab HET’, located in the French National Solar Energy Institute (INES), Le Bourget du Lac, and operated by the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA). After successful R&D and process transfer during 2010-12 [1], and pilot line optimization phase (2013), full production capability has been demonstrated end of 2013 by volume runs totaling over 32.000 HET cells. The mission of the CEA ‘LabFab HET’ is to validate the feasibility of HET cell mass manufacturing from both a technical and economical point of view. Hence it is operated in a continuous flow production mode, from wafer incoming inspection to final cell efficiency tester sorting. The line has a nominal capacity of 15MWp/year, with all equipment provided by world-wide recognized suppliers
