The dosimetrical characteristics of the new Czechoslovak neutron Si diodes LBSD (long base silicon diode) are described. These diodes have been developed and now they are produced in two versions: Si-1, the standard type, has the tissue kerma-response to /sup 252/Cf neutrons of about 0.15 mV/mGy for a normal mode of evaluation. Si-2 type is more sensitive with response of about 1.2 mV/mGy. The results of the LBSD relative sensitivity measurements on the various sources of radiation are presented. Also the new possibilities in utilization of LBSD are sketched: the neutron measurement on cosmic vehicles and high dose dosimetry studies for particle accelerators. > |
