Evaluation about the Response of Infection Control and Training Workshops among Nursing Students and Nursing Staffs in a Tertiary Care Hospital in Maharashtra

Popis:	A study done to evaluate the level of knowledge and infection control practices followed by nurses was carried out in a tertiary care hospital. The data was collected by a pre-structured questionnaire and training. The mean knowledge of staff nurses regarding infection control measures was 52.3% which increased to 68% after conducting training, demonstration and follow-up audits on infection control related topics. This emphasizes on the importance of proper training of healthcare workers regarding infection control practices. Infection control training of healthcare workers is needed to improve knowledge and practice in infection control.
