Popis: | Insect galls collected from sagebrush (Artemisia tridentata complex) in Wyoming produced 4 species of Diptera. Eutreta diana (Osten Sacken) was the commonest and occurred in all species of sagebrush except A. nova Nelson, where it was replaced by Metatephritis fenestrata Foote and by Phytophaga sp.; Asphondylia sp. was found only in Artemisia tridentata. Six species of hymenopterous parasites were reared from the galls, and 7 species of Lepidoptera, Coleoptera, and Hemiptera were found using them as hibernacula. |
