Formation of Residual Stresses in Plates with Functional Holes After Mandrelling

Popis: | A procedure of simulation of the stress–strain state in the case of mandrelling of the holes is developed on the basis of the finite-element method. We determine the basic regularities of the influence of the relative tension of mandrelling and the diameter of a hole on the formation of local compressive residual stresses in the vicinity of the hole. In particular, it is shown that if the tension of mandrelling increases from 1 to 3 %, then these stresses increase on the cylindrical surface of the hole and become 1.5–2 times higher. |
