Popis: | As a result of searching for a lipase-inhibiting substances in the cells and in the culture medium of Candida paralipolytica, it was shown that several glycerophospholipids from the cells inhibited the activity of the lipase from the yeast. Three phospholipids were identified as phosphatidylethanolamine (PE), phosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylinositol by thin-layer chromatography. At pH 8.2, all the phospholipids tested were inhibitory, whereas at pH 6.0, at which the yeast was usually cultured, only PE was inhibitory.Relationship between the inhibition by phospholipids and calcium ions, and effect of the concentration of sodium chloride on the inhibition with PE were also reported. |
