Development and Comparison of Simple Ultrasonic Motor Drivers

Popis: The aim of this study was to design a simple ultrasonic motor (USM) driver and compare it with the traditional driving setup that uses two power amplifiers. Using a switch to select and control the phase shifter output signals and using a high-power PA90 operational amplifier to amplify the dual-phase signals of the ridge-wave USM (RW-USM) were our goals in this study. The simulation results and real measurement results showed that the designed simple USM driver could obtain performances results similar to those of a traditional driving setup using two power amplifiers, in addition to also confirming that the USM driving circuit designed in this study can fully achieve the expected goal.
