Popis: | The surface energy of conducting polypyrrole is shown to undergo a time-dependent decrease before stabilization as evidenced by inverse gas chromatography (IGC). Such behaviour is not observed with conventional polymers (PMMA and PVC) or with conducting polyaniline. This behaviour is partly a manifestation of the high surface energy and/or the relative chemical instability of polypyrrole on the one hand, and is demonstrated to be useful in determining the morphology of thin PMMA coatings on polypyrrole on the other hand. |
