Popis: Strophanthidin (4 g) was dissolved in 50 ml of chloroform--absolute ethanol (3:1) and the resulting solution was treated dropwise with a solution of 1.5 g of l-aminoadamantane in the same mixture of solvents. The reaction was performed at the boiling point of the reaction mixture on the water bath. The course of the reaction was monitored by thin-layer chromatography in the methylene chloride-methanol (@3:7) system. After the end of the reaction (about i0 h), the mixture of solvents was evaporated off in vacuum, and the residue (4.5 g) was dissolved in methylene chloride and crystallized, giving 3.2 g of N-tert-adamantyliminostrophanthidin (I) with bp 250-256/260°C, [a]~ ° +19.7 ° (c 1.0; methylene chloridemethanol (i:i).
