Popis: Three hundred years of St. Petersburg is not an especially long period in the history of Christianity, whereas it spans almost a third of Russia's Christian history. The most objective testimonials of religious tolerance are the memoirs and accounts of foreigners who were impressed by the extent to which St. Petersburg was different from other Russian cities in its climate of religious liberality. The contemporary ecumenical situation is clearly worse compared to the situation of a quarter of a century ago; however, there are initiatives and structures that allow one to carry on the idea of Christian cooperation and European integration, which is particularly at home in the City of St. Peter. The Interecclesiastical Partnership "Apostolic City-Neva Perspective" was founded in St. Petersburg five years ago to promote cooperation between Orthodox, Catholic, and Lutheran Christians in the field of education. Keywords: apostolic city-Neva perspective; Christian cooperation; European integration; religious liberality; religious tolerance; Russia's Christian history; St. Petersburg
