Popis: We have studied the diffusion curve evolution in variable translucent rough surfaces. In order to carry on these studies, we used cells having an internal diffuser face. Inside these cells, we place a liquid of controllable refraction index. In this way, we are able to obtain a great range of roughness values without changing the correlation length. In this paper we extend the results obtained in another work presented in the II Iberoamerican Optical Meeting. We verify the existence of a similar phenomenon and its relation with the surface roughness. Moreover, we must note that this work has been done with coherent, but we think that we deal with a predominantly geometric phenomenon, not quite in agreement with most of the authors that are studying this subject.© (1996) COPYRIGHT SPIE--The International Society for Optical Engineering.
